Apex Indonesia exported more than 160 trees to Saudi Arabia with 7 containers departed from Tanjung Priok port, Jakarta. The trees exported include Spatodhea, Bobab and ficus trees which reach 6 meters in height. The aim of the export this time is to fulfill an order from a Saudi Arabian import company that has contributed to a greening project in Saudi Arabia. Exports use 40 feet (12.19 m) containers, each container containing 60–70 trees for small diameters and 10–20 trees for those with large diameters. The container used is a Reefer container, a type of container equipped with a closed refrigeration unit.
There are various ways of stuffing trees. If the tree is still small in diameter, we don’t use heavy equipment. But if the tree is large in diameter, stuffing the tree using a crane to help move it into the container. The preparation process for exporting trees takes approximately 4 months until the trees are ready to be shipped, depending on the size and size. Before entering the container, the tree will be cleaned and given a fungicide, so it doesn’t grow fungus. We ensure that the quality of the trees is good so that the trees grow well in the export destination countries.
